Airlift for Great Gull Island

On April 25, the Connecticut Army National Guard  airlifted 28,000 pounds of lumber and equipment to Great Gull Island, a Long Island Sound Stewardship Area, as part of a project to help sustain the island’s large common tern and roseate tern populatons.
