The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation has announced that the Long Island Sound Futures Fund 2015 Request for Proposals (RFP) is available at www.nfwf.org/lisff

The Long Island Sound Futures Fund (LISFF) makes grants totaling close to $1 million every year to protect and restore the Long Island Sound and its watershed. The LISFF supports projects that involve communities in improving the Long Island Sound through  implementing innovative water quality improvements such as rain gardens and permeable pavers, restoring parks and open spaces, and educating and engaging the public within the LIS Watershed.

Review the RFP and the associated documents: When reviewing the RFP, please also take time to review: LISFF 2015 Application Tips, LISFF 2015 Activities and Outcomes Metrics Examples, Definition of Urban Areas, LISFF 2015 Full Proposal Sample Narrative, Required Financial Documents (excellent info on preparing a budget) and FAQs!

Join an upcoming workshop or webinar: One webinar on March 24th and two on-the-ground workshops in CT on March 30th (Norwalk and New Haven) are scheduled to provide information about the program for new applicants, a program refresher for past applicants, and/or to share project ideas and get feedback. You can register at www.nfwf.org/lisff
