Futures Fund Workshops and Webinars

The 2016 Long Island Sound Futures Fund RFP was released on March 17. Check the Long Island Sound Futures Fund grants page  on the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation website on the RFP announcement.


The Long Island Sound Futures Fund (LISFF) makes grants totaling $1 million+ annually to protect and restore the Long Island Sound and its watershed in New York and Connecticut. The LISFF will be soliciting proposals to secure clean water and healthy watersheds, restore thriving habitats and abundant wildlife, and engage the public in creating sustainable and resilient communities of Long Island Sound. The next grants cycle Request for Proposals (RFP) will be announced in late March 2016. Check the Long Island Sound Futures Fund grants page  at on the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation website for updates on the RFP announcement.

Workshops & Webinars: A series of workshops and one webinar will be offered to help potential applicants apply for grants.   Presenters will provide an overview of the grant guidelines and be available to discuss your proposed project ideas.

Who should attend:  Eligible applicants include non-profit 501(c) organizations, state government agencies, local governments, municipal governments, Indian tribes, and educational institutions.

Put your thinking cap on: One part of the workshop will have potential applicants share information about project ideas to get feedback from presenters and to network! Come with your ideas.
