The Long Island Sound Study is updating its management plan. In September, residents will have a chance to learn about the plan, known as the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan, at three public meetings in Connecticut and New York. Most importantly, citizens will have the opportunity to provide comments and suggestions for the Update, which is expected to be completed in early 2015.The CCMP will provide guidance for LISS and its partners, including New York, Connecticut, and EPA, in restoration efforts for the next 20 years. The plan will include more than 100 actions to implement the CCMP. A draft copy of the plan should be available to review on the CCMP Update page by early September.
