Habitat Restoration Job Posting

The New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission is seeking an Environmental Analyst to work with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Bureau of Marine Resources in East Setauket, NY to conduct activities associated with the Long Island Sound Study. The Habitat Restoration Coordinator will work with multiple stakeholders to develop partnerships to restore Long Island Sound habitats, manage databases, and use GIS information for program purposes.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in the natural sciences (e.g. biology, chemistry, ecology, environmental science). Ability to work effectively with scientists, engineers and the public. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications required. Excellent communication and organizational skills a must. Strong ArcGIS skills necessary.
