Scientists Meet with Citizens Advisory Committee

A joint meeting of the Long Island Sound Study Science and Technical Advisory Committee and the Long Island Sound Study Citizens Advisory Committee to focus on science communication will be held Jan. 27 at Housatonic Community College  in Bridgeport. Dr. Christine O’Connell, Associate Director of the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook University, will provide science communications strategies and lead participants in exercises.  Additional communications efforts will be discussed by staff from LISS and The Nature Conservancy.The meeting will include an opening address from Commissioner Rob Klee of  the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection.
