Exploring Biodiversity, Water Quality, and History at Fort Totten

Sound Stewards, an education program run by NY Sea Grant and the Long Island Sound Study, engages K-12 students in the exploration of the Long Island Sound coast through water quality testing, seining (fishing with a seine net), and more. At this teacher field trip led by NYSG educators, teachers will get to slip on some waders and demo what a Sound Stewards field trip is like! this will be followed by a historical tour of Fort Totten led by the Urban Park Rangers, and wrap up with a free lunch.
