Around Long Island Sound’s coastline are unique places designated by the Long Island Sound Stewardship Initiative as Stewardship Areas that are worth exploring. The Study has made it easier for you learn more about these places with its new online Stewardship Atlas. An interactive map takes you to web pages for all 33 areas where you get a quick lesson on the rich ecological and recreational resources of these places. You can also view hundreds of photos, open up trail maps and street maps, find interesting nearby places, and “dive deeper” with links to the websites of organizations doing invaluable work to protect these properties.
